SUNSHINE-y Sketch!

Hi again.. It's time for another scrapbook challenge at  The Greeting Farm!

This week's challenge is to follow this sketch designed by our very own Lynda!!

My niece is at this stage (& hopefully it's just a phase) when anytime you ask her to smile for the camera she makes a silly face! I thought Summer from the Roll Call kit was a perfect fit with the giggling sentiment from the SUNSHINE scrapbooking kit.

My FIRST Video!!

Hi again! (Please see my first post today HERE for The Greeting Farm's Scrapbook layout challenge!)

After many requests, I finally gathered my courage to make my FIRST video to show you all how I color "shiny" black hair!  I came up with this technique by watching and incorporating ideas from all the talented designers out there...  {FYI: I am not copic certified!}

Enough chit-chat please enjoy my first video!

If you have problems viewing the video, please try HERE for it directly on Youtube.

The image used in the video is from Tiddly Inks, you can get her here!

Thanks for watching- Please let me know if you have ANY questions!

Happy Father's Day

(a day late!)

Hope you all enjoyed the weekends and had a wonderful Father's Day with the men in your families!

I went to my LSS looking for some ink refills (which they were out of) and walked out with this set from Hero Arts!

Something a little different for me since I ♥ coloring so much! Anyway, I used the stamp on the right to make my dad his Father's Day card:
Thanks Dad
- Vine Scrolls, Chinese Thank You, butterfly-Good Fortune (Hero Arts)
- Ink: Versamark Dazzle Frost, Broken China; Peeled Paint & Dusty Concord Distress Ink
- Other: ribbon, buttons

I stamped the Vine Scrolls & butterflies  twice w/Peeled Paint & Dusty Concord distress inks with re-inking in between stamping, embossed with clear embossing powder.  Then applied Broken China distress ink around the edges using a sponge applicator.

Thanks for all you do DAD!

{& Thanks to you for stopping by today! I'll be back again tomorrow w/the next Tiddly Inks Tuesday Challenge!}

The TGF Scrapbooking Team is also THRILLED to welcome LYNDA NIELSEN to our gang! You may recognize Lynda as one of our Gardeners and now she is back and ready to get scrappin'! Yay!

This week is a SKETCH challenge designed by my fellow SB team member Jacilynn:

I totally LOVE this sketch but had more than 3 pictures that I wanted to use... but that's the great thing about sketches- they just kick-start your creative juices and all your ideas come to life!

Summer has officially begun here in Arizona... we've surpassed the 100(F) degree mark a few days already and it's only going to get hotter! My sister pulled out the kiddie pool for my cutiepie nieces to play in. It was Emi's first time- think she enjoyed it?

I layered shades of Peeled Paint Distress ink for the bamboo, and shades of Dusty Concord Distress & Colorbox pigment ink in heliotrope.  I also made the flower embellishment with a flower punch smeared in the same dusty concord ink w/water & perfect pearls...
